We are a young family, the Heartwoods, growing our medicinal herb farm against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We offer our small batch, hand tended dried herbs seasonally, as well as nourishing field-to-bottle home + body care like tea blends, whole plant infused body oils, botanical bath blends, salves, fresh hydrosols, and Appalachian wildflower & tree essences.

We want to be good ancestors. In our beliefs, choices, and actions, in the way we gather others around the table, in the way we tend the land. We are committed to a growing a culture that is invested in the well-being of the Earth for our children and for future generations. 

The land is nestled in the hills, 25 acres of mixed pasture and forest on ancestral Cherokee land in “Purlear, NC.” A spring-fed river winds through the entire length of the property, and when the light hits just right, the riverbed sparkles with mica. We feel incredibly blessed to steward this beautiful place that is so bursting with life.

We dream of someday offering a gathering space for folks to connect to the Earth, themselves, and each other, hosting herbalism and old ways workshops, farm dinners, fieldtrips, an artist residency space, and more.
